industry statisticsOf over 1,500 surveyed equestrian professionals, more than 50% of respondents do not have a reliable day off each week, and nearly 50% have not taken any vacation in the past six months.
These findings underscore a critical challenge within the horse industry. Sustainable staffing and leadership are essential. High levels of burnout and limited time off directly contribute to job dissatisfaction, declining morale, and high turnover in horse barns. This highlights the need for intentional equestrian leadership coaching, structured staff support systems, and practical retention strategies that prioritize both performance and wellbeing.
